Not everyone is prepared for their moment when it comes. One artist appears to be an exception to that and most of your favorite record labels appear to believe it.
Fans everywhere of St. Louis artist, Byron Blake are going crazy at the news of his upcoming project. With his debut single “Peepin’ You” already available on all platforms, anticipation for the release of his debut album “Standin’ On Da Business” (set for release this December) is at an all-time high. This will be his first release under his new deal with Symphonic Distribution.
Despite this being his “debut”, Byron doesn’t appear to be nervous at all. In fact, he seems to almost welcome adversity. Citing his previously successful YouTube debut which brought in millions of views, Byron says there is no pressure.
Being in the company of artists like Lil’ Flip, Moneybagg Yo and Cuban Doll is not pressure, it’s inspiration. I’m not here to compete with them, I’m here to watch, learn, implement and execute.
“Standin’ On Da Business”, is already the subject of a lot of talks, with rumors implicating the likes of BooGotti Kasino and OTF’s RondoNumbaNine as suspects in the project’s feature list. Although Byron insists that this will not be a project loaded with feature artists just to attract attention, he says we can be almost certain that “the gang all there.”
With “Peepin’ You” out now and serving as a clear indication that Byron is “in his bag”, as he puts it, the world is now on notice that he is here. Whether or not he is here to stay remains to be seen.
