Get Familiar With Rising ATL-Based Artist Charlie Pierre

Tell us a little about your music...

My music is created for the real playas & real people that wake up and try to figure life out everyday. Whether you working 9-5 or getting to it in the worst ways and everything in between, I guarantee you could relate to Charlie Pierre's music.

What city do you represent?

Formally Atlanta, Ga, but the South Side of Atlanta, to be exact.

How has being where you are from influenced your music and career?

Basically, everything about my area bleeds success through the struggle, sort of like a Rose growing from the concrete. My city and the surrounding parts have influenced my sound, charisma, energy, and bravado in so many ways. The Southside of Atlanta really do have something to say.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I don't try to box myself into a particular sound, but if I had to describe it, it would be something you can enjoy no matter age, ethnicity, gender, or race. I might lock in and make a single just to show my appreciation for all the beautiful women in the world, then turn around and make something for the mosh pits. So the best description would be to call it indescribable.

What is your creative process like before and during the studio?

I try to take whatever's going on in my life that day and express everything during my sessions. When I get to the studio, I normally just start by replaying my day or past days to try and get those feelings out. I've always felt like you can't match the energy of being in the studio and just venting. Whether you feel like the biggest rapper on earth, feeling defeated, feeling turnt up or even feeling vulnerable. The point of the studio to me is to just express yourself so that's how I create.

How much music do you have available online for fans and new listeners like myself?

I have a good amount of music available on streaming services currently and some older releases available on my SoundCloud. You can find all my music, videos and features by searching "Charlie Pierre" on all major platforms.

Who are some of your biggest influencers or favorite rappers in the music industry?

Kanye, Notorious BIG, Young Jeezy, T.I., Michael Jackson, Pierce the Veil, Future and many more. I listen to everything old and new and can find inspiration in almost any music.

If you could work with any artist in the world (dead or alive), who would it be and why?

Michael Jackson, Jay-Z or Kanye West. They are the personification of a superstar in my eyes, which is what I'm aiming for if not bigger.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Less gimmicks that shit getting old quick. Let's focus on making quality music thats timeless. Not saying some gimmicks don't work but for me growing up and being fixated with hip-hop culture, the artist actually cared about what they put out now it's just whoever does the corniest shit wins.

When it comes to branding and marketing your music, how do you distinguish yourself from another artist?

My team and I focus on trying to be unique and intentional with how we promote our product/brand. I try my best to think outside the box in order to catch the viewers' eye with the product and reel the listener in with quality music every time. Of course there's nothing new under the sun but, that doesn't mean we can't try to give you that feeling of something you haven't seen before. Thats the goal every time I pop out.

Do you feel the Internet/Social Media has impacted the music business for indie artists such as yourself?

I would say yes, and it was for the better. We can take our product and go directly to the consumer. If the consumer feels the product we sell it times 10. If the consumer doesnt see it how we do, we can get right back to the drawing board. Seems to me like a way easier business model to me. As an artist you can skip the labels and know exactly what your fans want from you. Win win situation.

Which song from your music catalog would you considered fans to listen to that represent you as an artist?

As of right now I would think my song "Say Yes" on my newest project "City is Mine, Vol. 1" would perfectly embody who I am and what I stand for.

Tell us about your recent release and what inspired you to create such a masterpiece?

My latest release was "City is Mine, Vol.1" which dropped about two weeks ago. The point of the project was to have fun with the music and say anything I've been thinking or try different vibes throughout the project while Im working on my next project. The studio has become my home away from home and this project proves that I am at maximum comfortness and confidence in the booth.

By any chance, do you have a video for your recent release or single? Tell us about the visual and the thought process behind the making of the video...

My most recent video release is titled "Consistent," and this one was strictly to secure the vibe. The concept of the visual was a dinner date with your newest love interest. You're basically telling your significant other that it's no way I'm not leaving here with you tonight. Throughout the video you go from the first date to being each other's peace to being the world's relationship goals. All under a 2 1/2 min song.

Check out "Consistent"

Do you have any future projects you are currently working on at the moment?

My debut album "The Cooley Flows" is in production currently and im always working so it will touchdown soon.

Any plans on going on tour this year or the near future?

My team and I are lining things up for early next year. Keep a lookout for me in some of the bigger music hubs.

Tell us something you love to do and admire besides being a musician and entertainer?

I would definitely own a hair salon, nail spa, or food spot. I actually still plan on doing that with a couple of special people in my life. So be on the lookout for that too.

What’s next for you as a hip-hop artist and entrepreneur in 2023 and beyond?

More Work, More Grind, More songs, More Shows, More Features, More Visuals, More faith, More content, More good business, and fasho More money with the same team I started with.
