Strong Island, NY lyrical force Bub Rock returns! New single “Piece Full” (out now via streaming platforms) is a soulful knocker of east coast boom bap. Produced by his constant collaborator Backpack Beatz of whom the emcee says, “we have great chemistry, it’s never difficult getting beats from him, I just tell him what I want to talk about and he delivers.” A serious baller in his youth, Bub works in constant metaphors and analogies that somehow relate work in the streets to a career on the courts. As the emcee says “it’s introspective but I think a lot of people can relate to the perspective I give. When the music and lyrics align, I don’t think it’s hard to get people to understand where you are coming from.”
