ElaYoshi Offers a Grimy Sound in New Video Titled, 'Say Somethin'

The Brooklyn, NY musician ElaYoshi returns with an aggressive new hip-hop infused with rock-n-roll single ‘Say Somethin’, which displays his versatility as a Hip-Hop artist

Can ElaYoshi be the perfect example of expressing yourself through music?

On Tuesday, ElaYoshi released ‘Say Somethin’ single and music video, the third single from his upcoming album, ‘Dial Tone,’ dropping on February 4, 2022. The new visual puts you in the twisted mind of the Brooklyn Native, which feels like a movie and a continuation from his latest two video releases Apex’ and ‘Dial Tone.’

‘Say Somethin’ is a 2-minute mind-bending visual that does away with trending drill and trap music and taps into a new era and wave that resembles the old Tyler, the Creator rap style. After a classic rock intro followed by a horrific growl, ElaYoshi goes into the chorus over a heavy electric guitar riff and hard-hitting static 808's.

ElaYoshi doesn’t hide his intentions of wanting to be aligned with some of the best in Hip-Hop. However, the grimy flow and vocals stand out the most, pulling the listener in with every bar. ElaYoshi’s new visual ‘Say Somethin’ is undoubtedly to break through into the music industry with a sound like no other rapper in his era.

While the fans sit and wait to see what direction ElaYoshi's new project will take, it’s clearly given that his new album ‘Dial Tone’ will be filled with tracks like ‘Say Somethin,’ especially given the success of his latest two single releases. Whatever the outcome, ElaYoshi is ready to take his career and musical talents to another level.

ElaYoshi is a rapper, songwriter, and musician hailing from Brooklyn, NY. The eerie lyricist utilizes influence from artists such as Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, and Childish Gambino to create a unique sound unparalleled to his counterparts. Being New York-born and raised also has an impact on his art through the harsh delivery and aggressive tone of his voice in a medley of his tracks. ElaYoshi began his journey in writing by engaging in online wrestling roleplay, which is where his name ElaYoshi originally stems from.
