Patrona of Regional Mexican GiGi Takes Over In a Hail of Bullets and Blasts In New Visual “G BLANCO”

Single Out Now On All DSPs

LOS ANGELES, June 29, 2022 – The rising patrona of Regional Mexican music GiGi has released her latest single and visual to “G Blanco,” an empowering testament to her rise, and the drive it took to achieve it. “G Blanco” is the latest in a series of successes by the talented songstress, following projects such as her previous single “No Te Creas,” which currently stands at 82K views and counting on YouTube,

The video exudes the essence of ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico’ with a twist worthy of the notorious Griselda Blanco herself. GiGi leads her shooters through a hail of bullets, followed by her guitarist turned pistoleros. Through the sounds of the Spanish guitar scenes of the shootout intermingle with those of GiGi in a traditional pueblo setting, every detail is authentic, down to the empty ‘Barrilito’ beer bottles that are well known in the ranchos of Mexico.

“G Blanco” is a cinematic creation, disrtributed by the partnership between the young star and heavy-hitter label Prajin Records. “G Blanco” was also the track that caught the attention of her now-manager, Emmy award-winning producer and renowned music manager Polo Molina. With an all-star team behind her, including her home label 519 Music, GiGi continues to dedicate time to her craft, and be the difference she hopes to see in the Regional Mexican genre.

As for what’s next for the young star, GiGi says “I want to focus on making songs about women's empowerment and start opening up about that more in my music.”

Having already received high praises for “G Blanco,” it is no doubt that GiGi has a lot more in store. With an upcoming album in the works, the gifted singer will continue to take regional music by storm and solidify her place as a patrona in the industry.

About

Graciela Ortiz who performs under the stage name “GiGi” is a Mexican-American regional singer and songwriter. Growing up with her mother in Chicago, GiGi began pursuing her passion for music at the tender age of six after being granted the opportunity to showcase her talent by participating in an imitation contest hosted by the popular Spanish morning show Despierta America. Though GiGi spent the next couple of years enamored of her karaoke machine it wasn’t until age 11 that she began performing classical mariachi songs at festivals. Upon graduating high school, she continued her education eventually ending up in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico where she began pursuing her career as a veterinarian. Swiftly realizing that her passion for music was greater than her educational drive, she decided to pursue music full-time. A choice she later classified as destiny. Her success story begins with the decision to upload numerous cover songs on Facebook. Reaching viral success, being reposted by the nationally syndicated radio show El Show De Piolín, and accumulating over 1 million views GiGi decided it was time to put out original work. In 2015 she recorded her first official album “Culpable Soy Yo” a 10-track offering that highlighted her talent in the banda genre. Riding the wave of the album’s success GiGi went on to perform for multiple venues across the United States and Mexico. Come 2017, GiGi released a second project, “Querías Saber De Mi” followed by a promotional tour throughout northern California which prompted the support of numerous television and news programs and granted her first appearance at Los Premios De La Radio(2017). Shortly after she released a third album “Amor Verdadero”. The album is now GiGi’s most complete offering as it caught the attention of the Latin Billboards awards and several other prominent programs in Latin American television. Aside from her noteworthy catalog, GiGi also finds a lot of motivation through her manager Polo Molina who is one of the foremost Pop/Latin/hip-hop music managers of today with additional success and notoriety as an Emmy award-winning producer, tech investor, philanthropist, and live event founder. She considers him not only a mentor but an inspiration. Now, GiGi arrives prepared, stronger, and with a more direct presence providing individual empowerment as well as the development of a larger movement for her female fanbase. With her new single “G Blanco” she hopes to inspire women to remember that they are self-reliant and that they can achieve success with a lot of effort and dedication.
